Biography
The prop joins Welsh on loan from the Wasps Academy fresh from helping England's U20s to a historic first-ever IRB Junior World Championship in June, with a 23-15 win over Wales in the final at Stade de la Rabine.

After an injury-plagued season, he returned just in time to book his place on the plane to France and proceeded to play in all five matches of England's U20 IRB Junior World Championship title success.

Australian-born, Alec qualifies for England through his father and he has also lived in the UK for more than five years.

He'd previously appeared in all ten England U20 matches in 2011/12, spanning the RBS 6 Nations Championship and the Junior World Championship in South Africa.

His debut came was in the 59-3 win over Scotland at Firhill, Glasgow in February and his first start came in the 20-9 win over Ireland at Adams Park when England lifted the Six Nations title for the third time in five years.

He was a newcomer for England U18 off the bench against Ireland in December 2010 and made his initial start in the 26-21 defeat by Scotland at Headingley Carnegie the following March.

Originally from Perth, he first played the game while at Gillotts School in Henley-on-Thames, where he has been taking a course in PE, Film Studies and Chemistry at the college there. His previous schooling had been at Ravensthorpe District High in Western Australia.

Vice-captain at Henley College, he played for Oxfordshire U17 and was with Henley Hawks in 2008/09, where he was voted as the best newcomer before joining the London Wasps Academy.
