Biography
Mike enjoyed a season of two halves for London Welsh last year. Having impressed during the first part of the season a knee injury sustained away to Stade Francais in January would ultimately bring his season to a premature end.

His did, however, score his debut try for the club, which came in the defeat to Grenoble at the Kassam in December. In total, Mike made 16 appearances for the club in 2012/13.

During the Exiles' Championship winning season Mike made 21 league appearances for the club, making the number 7 jersey his own.

He'd joined the Exiles in 2011 having impressed at Birmingham & Solihull despite the club's relegation to National League One. His leadership qualities were recognised when he took over the captain's armband during regular skipper Ross McMillan's absence through injury.

Prior to that, Mike had spent four seasons at South West One side Western-Super-Mare before joining Plymouth Albion in 2007 while studying for a business degree at Plymouth University. The 2008/09 season saw him establish himself in the Albion first team - his first as a full-time professional.

He went on to make 27 appearances in his debut season for Albion, scoring three tries, and picked up the club's most Promising Young Player award.

Mike spent the 2009/10 season in Spain with Premiership Club CR La Villa before returning to England and Birmingham & Solihull where he made 19 appearances in 2010/11, scoring one try.

He has also represented England at Student and Counties level, as well as captained Somerset in the County Championship.
